This Privacy Policy applies to personal information handled through the Caribbean Collection website, online reservations, contact and pre-registration forms, stores, and collaborator services. It does not apply to a third-party service that publishes its own privacy policy.
1. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and preferred contact method.
- Reservation and transaction details, including selected products, quantities, collection branch, reservation reference, purchase history, and return information.
- Applicant and collaborator details, such as business and brand information, social media or website links, product categories, location preferences, application responses, agreement records, inventory, and sales information.
- Communications, including enquiries, support requests, feedback, appointment details, and messages exchanged with our team.
- Technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, timestamps, referring pages, and security or diagnostic logs.
Please do not send sensitive or unnecessary personal information through a free-text field. If you provide information about another person, you must have permission to do so.
2. How we use information
We use personal information where needed to provide our services, operate our business, comply with law, and protect legitimate interests. This includes:
- processing and confirming reservations, collections, payments, returns, appointments, and enquiries;
- reviewing applications and administering collaborator accounts, agreements, inventory, displays, sales, and support;
- communicating service messages, updates, and information you request;
- maintaining records, analysing service performance, improving the website, and planning store operations;
- preventing fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unauthorised access; and
- meeting accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and dispute-resolution obligations.
Where consent is required for a particular communication or use, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred lawfully.
Cookies and similar technology
Our website may use cookies or similar storage necessary for sessions, reservations, security, and site functionality. Browsers can block or delete cookies, but parts of the website may then stop working correctly. If optional analytics or advertising technology is introduced, we will provide any notice or choice required by applicable law.
3. Sharing, transfers & retention
We do not sell your personal information. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with:
- Caribbean Collection staff and authorised service providers supporting hosting, storage, email, communications, analytics, payments, professional advice, or system security;
- collaborators when necessary to fulfil or resolve a reservation involving their products;
- mall or location teams where needed for authorised access, safety, or store operations; and
- regulators, law enforcement, courts, insurers, advisers, or another party where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
Some providers may process information outside Trinidad and Tobago. When this occurs, we take reasonable steps to select appropriate providers and protect information in line with applicable requirements.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including applicable accounting, legal, contract, security, and dispute periods. We then delete, anonymise, or securely dispose of it where practical.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep account credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Your choices & rights
Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you and provide access to it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete or restrict certain information;
- explain or object to certain uses; or
- stop optional marketing communications.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information must be retained to complete services, protect other people’s rights, preserve transaction records, or comply with law. You can unsubscribe from an optional marketing message using the instructions in that message or contact us directly.
Children’s privacy
Our website and collaborator services are not directed to children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission should contact us so we can review the matter.
5. Updates & contact
We may update this policy as our services or obligations change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version, and material changes may also be highlighted through an appropriate channel.
To ask a privacy question or exercise a privacy right, use our contact form. Please describe your request clearly and include a reliable way for us to respond.
